Enjoy fishing in Big Walnut Creek! Fishing poles are available to be checked-out from the nature center during operating hours. Tackle is provided, however bait must be supplied by the user.

• Fishing licenses are NOT available at the park.

Of course, GPS stands for Global Positioning System. But, at McCloud Park it also stands for Good Place to Start! A GPS unit is a hand-held electronic device that can determine your approximate location on the planet using coordinates. A fun game to play with a GPS unit is called Geocaching. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way for novices to have some fun with a GPS unit. Cache locations are furnished at the Nature Center then GPS users can use the location coordinates to find the caches. We have several Garmin GPS units you are welcome to check-out for a few hours with a valid ID
