Learn why fireflies flash (and why they never have to pay an electric bill!), and join Park Naturalists on a nighttime hike to catch and release these bioluminescent insects! We’ll begin at the Nature Center, where Naturalists will hand out glow sticks and insect jars. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. Keep your jar and glow stick at the end of the night!
Recommended for ages 6+.
Hiking terrain difficulty: Easy, 1-2 miles.
$5/person. Advance registration required by June 22.
