Fly tying is a good way to combine art and sport. You can follow a set pattern or be as creative as you like to create several flies. It also allows fly fishers to do something fishing-related even when it is not possible to fish. It is fun to catch fish on a fly that you have made. Instructor Shawn Rhoderick says, “About 25 years ago I received a fly rod for Christmas, and since then I have rarely picked up a spinning rod. I find I can catch the fish I want in a way that is more satisfying to me.” This class is recommended for beginners.

Recommended for ages 15 through adult.

$10/person.
