We invite Girl Scouts of all levels and their chaperones out to McCloud Nature Park to pitch their tents and spend the night at the park on Sept. 23-24, 2017!
Since we normally don’t allow overnight camping at our parks, this is a special opportunity for Scouts to spend an evening outdoors exploring nature, honing camping and cooking skills, working toward badges, and having fun!
We offer five campsites, each with its own firepit. Scouts should bring their own tents, camping gear, sleeping bags and something to cook over the campfire. Scouts are encouraged to participate in activities led by our Park Naturalists, and adult leaders may also lead their Scouts in activities around the park at their leisure.
Advance registration is required. Registration opens July 31.
Fee: $20 per Scout, $7 per chaperone.
Scouts of all levels are welcome; however, tag-alongs or other non-Scouts are not permitted. Chaperones must be either Scout leaders or the legal guardians of attending Scouts.
Scouts may check-in between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Check-out is Sunday by 11 a.m.
