Guest Speaker Spotlight: Mental Health Benefits of Spending Time Outdoors
August 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDTFree
About 1 in 4 people in Hendricks County, young and old alike, will experience a mental health crisis or mental illness in their lifetime. As the number of COVID-19 cases increases, so does the associated anxiety. This is especially troubling for those individuals who already have mental health conditions.
Find out about how caring for yourself by spending time outdoors can help your brain, body, and social interactions, as well as how to safely continue enjoying outdoor activity amidst the pandemic. This event will of course be outdoors, so please dress appropriately!
The speaker, Michael Aviah, is the Public Health Education Specialist at the Hendricks County Health Department & Coordinator of the Hendricks County Health Partnership.
All ages are welcome. This program is free to attend, and no registration required.
