Our new Homeschool Ecology Series at McCloud Nature Park provides in-depth ecology lessons for homeschool students ages 12-18 and their younger siblings! These lessons will be hands-on and include experiments, field studies, and discussions about related careers. There will be optional homework and enrichment ideas to extend the lessons at home and in the community.
Homeschool students will discover how flowers and pollinators have adapted to benefit each other. Students will conduct field studies to observe pollinator interactions with flowers, complete flower dissections, and receive resources to plant pollinator habitat in their own yards! Everyone is invited back to McCloud Nature Park for the Mini Bee Fest on Saturday, August 29.
Younger siblings and their parent or guardian will enjoy their own lesson on pollinators.
Recommended for ages 12-18. Parents may also register and participate. Younger siblings ages 4-11 may also register and participate in their own program.
