Scout Sunday: BSA Fishing Merit Badge Workshop

Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the scouting movement, claimed fishing as one of his favorite pastimes. Join certified BSA merit badge counselor Park Naturalist as we dip our toes into the vast sea of fishing. Scouts will learn the different types of fishing reels and parts of fishing poles while using provided equipment to catch fish. Scouts will get hands-on practice with various knots needed for fishing. All supplies are provided.
Special location: Hummel Park in Plainfield.
Recommended for grades 8-12.
Fee: $10/participant (chaperones are free).
