Hendricks County Parks and Recreation offers year-round fun and educational nature programs for people of all ages. Most of the programs offered by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation are free to participants. Some programs are offered at a low cost and require online registration.
We have a number of major annual events, as well as programs that take place on a regular basis.
We also offer family programs on most Saturdays and some Sundays at McCloud Nature Park, W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park, and the Vandalia Trail. Those program topics vary each weekend and cover a huge array of nature-related topics.
A full listing of upcoming programs can be found on our Events Calendar.
The first time you register online for a program, you will need to create a profile for yourself and family members, but it’s easy to do! Create your profile now and you’ll be prepared to register your family for any of our programs, workshops, scout programs, camps and events, or to reserve a park pavilion.
