The Nature Center and restrooms remain closed so plan ahead before arriving at the park. For registered participants\, you may take your materials home to construct your garden there if you prefer. (Walk-in registration is not available.) \nTurn your garden in a fairy hotspot by providing these elfin creatures what they truly desire: a garden as small as themselves. Using nature-provided materials\, delicately craft diminutive décor that is sure to delight and enchant. Lay out a lush landscape of pixie-approved plant life in a perfect pot that goes home with you. DESCRIPTION:Take back the woods by pulling garlic mustard – a non-native invasive plant – along the Vandalia Trail! Garlic mustard is taking over forests\, and our native spring wildflowers must compete with it for sunlight\, space\, nutrients\, and water. Bring a water bottle and work gloves\, dress for the weather\, and wear long pants. This is a great opportunity for scout groups! \nPlease call our Weather Hotline at (317) 718-6111 for any weather-related concerns.
