DESCRIPTION:Our Park Naturalists and volunteers come to your local library each month to share a story about a native animal and lead a craft or activity. These programs are FREE to attend and are most appropriate for preschool to upper elementary age children. Advance registration is required by contacting your library.  \nMay – A Turtle’s Dangerous Journey \nA turtle is making her way across a highway to find a nesting spot. She avoids being run over\, only to find trash in the nesting grounds\, which attracts predators to her eggs. Will the turtle survive this dangerous journey? \nJune – Opossum at Sycamore Road \nIt’s nighttime. Opossum and her four babies waddle across a backyard\, rummaging through trash cans for food. Suddenly a dog pops out of nowhere!
