DESCRIPTION:The 17th Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser will be held at McCloud Nature Park on March 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.\n \nDiscover the delicious history of maple sugaring as you take an outdoor tour around McCloud Nature Park and learn all about maple syrup — the history\, the process\, and the trees. Then head on inside the Ray & Mary Benson Nature Center to enjoy all the pancakes you can eat!\n \nFreewill donations are accepted (minimum suggested donations of at least $10 per adult and $6 per child)\, and all proceeds go to Hendricks County Parks & Recreation for future development of and improvements to McCloud Nature Park.\n \nReservations are highly recommended. Once the daytime temperatures start rising\, the sap starts flowing\, and is ready to begin collecting it. Sugar maples can be tapped by boring holes into their trunks. Buckets catch the dripping sap and are placed in an evaporator where it is made into maple syrup.\n \nCome on out to McCloud Nature Park in early March and join us in discovering the rich deliciousness of maple sugaring at our 15th Annual McCloud Maple Syrup Days! Bring the whole family because Maple Syrup Days are FREE to attend!\n \nThis event is held entirely outdoors\, so be sure to dress for the weather. See you there!
