Bike Parade

Decorate your bike, scooter, stroller, or wheelchair and let’s go for a ride on the Vandalia Trail! Show off your creativity and then join a naturalist and community partners for an easy bike ride along the paved trail. The parade begins at 4 p.m., so decorate your ride in advance, or arrive early to decorate it at the Amo trailhead with supplies that our naturalist will bring!

Participants are strongly recommended to wear helmets. The trip will consist of a 1.5-mile ride out from the start and a 1.5-mile return for a total of three miles. Participants may turn back at any point along the trail if they would like to return sooner. Modern ADA-accessible restrooms and water fountains are available at the Amo trailhead but not at the turn-around point. Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.

BIKING TERRAIN INFO: EASY LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY, MOSTLY FLAT PAVED TRAIL, UP TO 3 MILES.

APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN WHO IS ABLE TO TRAVERSE THE TRAIL.
