Family Nature Night: Turtles

Turtle, terrapin, or tortoise? We call all of Indiana’s chelonians (or shelled reptiles) “turtles,” but they don’t all live in water. Some can’t even swim! A Hendricks County Parks naturalist will bring a turtle shell so you can see how this is part of the turtle skeleton. 

APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN.
