Nature Play Day: Birdie Bingo
June 13 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm EDTFree
From June 5-13, 2021, the Indiana Children and Nature Network is encouraging families across the state to make a special effort to get kids outside by holding Nature Play Day events. These mostly free events range from nature games, picnics, creek stomps, and kite-flying. The goal of Nature Play Days is to get kids outside and remind families that nature play is important and can happen close to home. To find a Nature Play Day near you, visit www.IndianaChildrenandNature.org.
Due to COVID-19, we will not be issuing Nature Play Days passports this year.
Children under the age of 16 must attend with a parent or guardian, as these are not drop-off programs. For any weather-related concerns, please call our Weather Hotline at (317) 718-6111.
Grab a birdie bingo sheet from our naturalists and scour the park for sightings of local birds! Finches, woodpeckers, and more flit through the forest, all making a racket – but just because you can hear them doesn’t mean that you can see them! Snag a bingo to score a small prize.
(Hiking terrain info: easy to moderate difficulty, gravel and natural surfaces, self-guided.)
RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 8 THROUGH ADULT.
FREE TO ATTEND.
NO ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
APPROXIMATE PROGRAM DURATION: 2 HOURS (ONGOING).
