Paid Group Field Trips & Outreach

If you would like to schedule a program for a non-school group, or if you are a teacher looking to schedule a program outside of the dates and topics of our free programs, you may be able to schedule a paid program with our naturalists.

A paid program can be a field trip or outreach program, lasts 1–2 hours, and focuses on Indiana native plants and animals. We incorporate discussion with specimens (pelts, skulls, tools, etc., as applicable) and games, crafts, or hikes. The specific activities for each program vary as we adapt the program to the age, experience, and interest of your group.

Paid programming topics:

  • Owls
  • Bats
  • Mammals
  • Turtles
  • Insects
  • Butterflies
  • Honeybees
  • Creeks & Bugs
  • Wildflowers
  • Tree I.D.

Some topics are seasonal and/or location-specific. Our naturalists will discuss with you the best options for your group.

If you would like to schedule a paid group field trip or outreach program, please contact the naturalists via email at at least a month in advance.
