Insect Safari

Did you know that insects are found everywhere except volcanoes? Come out and learn about the wonders of the insect world! We’ll spend some time using nets and Bug Containment Units to catch, inspect, and gently release our six-legged friends.

Allergy alert: as with any visit to the outdoors, it is possible to come into contact with live bees and/or other stinging insects.

Hiking terrain info: moderate leave of difficulty; gravel and natural surfaces; up to 1 mile.

This program is FREE to attend, appropriate for all ages, and no advance registration is required. All supplies will be provided.

OPTIONAL:

For an optional fee of $8, you can purchase your own bug net, buggy tongs, and bug container to take home.
