“You Run All of the Parks in Hendricks County, Right?”
Actually, we don’t. We know it’s confusing, but there are several Parks & Recreation departments within Hendricks County that run their own parks. We operate parks that are owned by the Hendricks County Park Board. Towns and townships operate parks owned by their respective governing bodies. We don’t oversee any town or township parks departments.
We operate McCloud Nature Park, the western portion of the Vandalia Trail, and W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park.
If you’re looking for a park that we don’t operate, we can help you out with that, too.
