Intro to Disc Golf

Have you ever wanted to try disc golf? Here’s your chance! Hendricks County Parks and Recreation is partnering with the Hendricks County Disc Golf Club to offer this training seminar.

The seminar will include:

• Proper course safety habits.
• The differences in types of discs including plastics, flight numbers, and more.
• General disc golf gear.
• The basics of throwing a disc, including drives, upshots, and putting.

Hands-on practice will include driving and putting.  And the event will conclude with a “ring of fire” competition with prizes!

Recommended for teenagers and up (kids can attend but must be accompanied by adults).

Items Needed: Discs if you have any. If not, then a loaner driver and putter will be provided.

Dress: Casual sports dress, dress for the weather, and wear closed-toe shoes.

Skill Level: All skill levels are welcome. Training will be geared toward first-time players, beginners, and recreational players.

This will be canceled in the event of heavy rain.
