Protecting Nature

Teens, can you hunt any kind of animal you want at any time and anywhere with any kind of weapon? Can you keep as many fish as you can catch? Can you dump motor oil into a culvert to get rid of it? Join us as we learn about the laws designed to protect nature and the people who enforce those laws.

Could parks and recreation be a career option for you? This program is designed to provide a no-pressure look into parks and recreation careers for teenagers who are contemplating their futures after high school. The program lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and participants will be provided lunch.

This is part of a monthly series for high school students.

Recommended for ages 14-17.

Approximate Program Duration: 4 hours.

The entire program will be outdoors. Dress for the weather.
