Hendricks County Parks & Recreation

Hendricks County Parks & Recreation is teaming up with several other local agencies to host the ninth annual Summer Fun Run Series at a variety of locations throughout the county this summer, beginning June 7.

On ten consecutive Wednesday evenings, walkers and runners can enjoy fresh air and exercise on a one-mile or 5K course at their leisure in this untimed, non-competitive series. Participants can check-in anytime between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. each week, and those who attend eight of the ten scheduled events will earn a free commemorative t-shirt.

The Summer Fun Run Series is free to attend.

New for 2017 is an online pre-registration system that will save check-in time. Those planning to attend this year’s Summer Fun Run Series can enter their name, email address, and t-shirt size online at least 24 hours prior to the first event they plan to attend. (Click here to pre-register.) Each week, parks staff will have special check-in stations designated solely for pre-registered individuals.

Hendricks County Parks & Recreation is partnering with Avon Parks & Recreation, Brownsburg Parks & Recreation, Danville Parks & Recreation, Guilford Township, the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA, and Plainfield Parks & Recreation for this year’s series.
