Update as of 3/24/2020:

For the next couple of weeks or so, to comply with Governor Eric Holcomb’s stay-at-home order, we are cancelling all programming through April 6. All Hendricks County Government buildings — including our main office, the McCloud Nature Center, the Nature Center’s restrooms, and the restrooms at the Vandalia Trail trailheads — will be CLOSED to the public until further notice. McCloud Nature Park and the Vandalia Trail will remain OPEN for guests to enjoy on their own terms.

Our naturalists and maintenance crew will be staying at home through April 6. Only 3 of our employees will continue working during this time, and much of that work will be done remotely from home. Please feel free contact us at or through our Facebook page, but also please understand that there may be a delay in our ability to respond, especially to any voice mail messages left at our main office or at the Nature Center. Thank you for your understanding.
