Early Risers

Don’t push snooze on your alarm clock this morning! Grab yourself a cup of coffee and rise to the occasion! Meet at the disc golf parking lot and hike with a naturalist to the top of the 30-foot-tall sledding hill. NOTE: this hike will be steep and on possibly wet grass!  We will watch the sun rise. After some moments of serenity, we’ll look over the park and discuss the various habitats and park features. You can enjoy some more peaceful moments at the top or hike back down. Be sure to bring your camera, journal, and that coffee! The park is usually closed prior to dawn, so register soon to reserve your spot for this unique opportunity.

Hiking terrain info: strenuous level of difficulty; grass surface, possibly wet; steep ascent and descent; up to 1 mile.

APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST ATTEND WITH A PARENT OR GUARDIAN WHO CAN MAKE THE STRENUOUS HIKE.
