Wednesday, July 26 – Water Quality
Healthy streams are important for wildlife and for recreation. Did you know that the types of bugs that live in the creek can tell you a lot about water quality? The presence or absence of certain aquatic insects can give you an idea about health of the stream. Fish aren’t very good indicators because they can swim to different areas if there is a water pollution problem. Learn about the relationship between good water quality and the aquatic bugs that live in our streams with a Hendricks County Park naturalist.
