Do not pass go! Do not collect $200! Put your game face on as we explore the fascinating network that nature provides through our wetlands. But aren’t wetlands just waste areas?  On the contrary, wetlands are invaluable habitats serving a vital role in our ecosystem. Come see for yourself through demonstrations and by playing the game “Hydropoly”!

This program may be entirely outdoors to allow for safe distancing, and supplies will be sanitized between students.

Our Homeschool Ecology Series at McCloud Nature Park provides in-depth ecology lessons for homeschool students ages 12-18 and their younger siblings! These lessons will be hands-on and include experiments, field studies, and discussions about related careers. There will be optional homework and enrichment ideas to extend the lessons at home and in the community.

For younger siblings (ages 6-11) of students registered in the Homeschool Ecology Series, there will be a separate lesson on a similar topic offered concurrently for just $5 per child per session. These lessons have been created specifically for the younger students and are restricted to siblings of registered students in the Homeschool Ecology Series. Parents or guardians must attend with the younger siblings, as this is not a drop-off program.

$10/person for ages 12 through adult. $5/person for ages 6-11.

Advance registration required by September 19. Click here to register.

The concurrent younger sibling program is HIDDEN on the registration page. You must contact the naturalists for the registration link. After registering your 12-18 year-olds, email mccloudnp@hcparks.net for a link to register their younger siblings (ages 6-11). Please include the names of younger siblings you wish to register.
