Homeschool Ecology Series: Winter Experiments
February 18, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EST
$5
Explore winter through experimentation! What happens to ice when sprinkled with food coloring, salt, or sugar? Build shelters and learn about insulation by trying to keep gelatin “animals” from freezing. Finish the lesson off with s’mores!
RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 6 THROUGH 11. Younger siblings ages 5 and under are free. Older children are welcome to register but they may want to consider registering for Survival Shelters and Fire-Starting program for ages 12 through 18.
PARENTS OR GUARDIANS MUST ATTEND WITH THEIR CHILDREN, AS THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF PROGRAM.
ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED BY FEB. 15 BY CLICKING HERE.
$5/CHILD.
APPROXIMATE PROGRAM DURATION: 2 HOURS.
THE ENTIRE PROGRAM WILL BE OUTDOORS. ALL AGES WILL SPEND TIME OUTSIDE, SO IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE (CHILDREN AND ADULTS ALIKE) DRESS FOR THE WEATHER.
