Perky little chickadees in Indiana are unique in their song diversity, with over 100 song types documented in central Indiana. Many of which are more complex than the typical chickadee song. What makes these Hoosier chickadees so special? Join Jonathan B Jenkins, a Purdue Ph.D. student, for a short indoor presentation to learn about Carolina chickadee songs and the reasons why Indiana has affected their songs. Then walk the trails to discover the best places to find chickadees at McCloud Nature Park so you can keep an eye and an ear out for these incredible birds.

Hiking terrain info: easy to moderate level of difficulty; natural surfaces and gravel trails; up to 1 mile.

RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 8 THROUGH ADULT. CHILDREN AGES 16 AND YOUNGER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN WHO IS ABLE TO WALK THE TRAILS.
