Hendricks County Parks & Recreation supports and encourages geocaching as an activity that promotes exploration of the varied outdoor spaces in our county. We welcome new geocaches that are approved on our properties!
Visit with other geocachers while learning about the new application process to hide caches on Hendricks County Park properties. New to geocaching and want to learn more? Learn tips from other geocachers at this informal meeting! Attend to be the first to hear about an upcoming geocaching event!
Before or after this meeting is a great time to scope out a location for your geocache application! You can also submit your application today or online. We have a number of GPS receivers that are available to borrow to assist in your application process (first-come, first-served).
This will take place outside in the picnic shelter so dress for the weather. Please RSVP to mccloudnp@hcparks.net so we know how many people to expect. Free to attend.
Recommended for geocachers ranging from amateur to expert. Families are welcome.
Information about the geocaching rule and application can be found at https://hendrickscountyparks.org/our-parks/parks-faq/
This rule applies to McCloud Nature Park, the Vandalia Trail (between Amo and the Putnam County Line), and the future W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park (not available for hiding caches yet).
Questions can be directed to mccloudnp@hcparks.net (preferred) or 765-676-5437.
